For Dave Kozlowski, his knowledge is in financial planning, but his work is as a servant to others. “Some of our clients actually see us not just as a friend and an adviser," the Verus president says, "but as a member of their immediate family. You know you’re making a difference and doing good when you achieve that status.”

Dave joined the firm in 1997 as a financial planner and took the path less traveled for those going into finance: putting people before the bottom line. “When you approach financial planning with this mission, you’re able to make a difference in many people’s lives,” he says. “And that’s not just for our clients – it makes a difference in the lives of our team members and their families, too.”

Dave holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from James Madison University and a master’s degree in financial planning from the College of Financial Planning®. He has held prior positions of increasing responsibility with a large investment management company. Dave is a former school board member of Veritas School in Richmond, VA. When the sun shines, he can be found hiking, running, and cycling, often with his wife, Marcy, and their expanding family. He worships and serves at Spring Run Presbyterian Church.
